How it works?

Wherever you are – whether it’s urgent or non-urgent – you can trust us to get you back home safely

STAGE 1 – INITIAL CONTACT

The first step is making contact with us. You can reach us 24/7, by email, phone or chat. Alternatively, you can use our contact form or request a free quote.

We will talk with you about your situation. This helps us to tailor everything we do to your specific needs and requirements. We will advise you on the right approach, and answer any questions you may have.

We have different transport options depending on the situation, from long-distance road ambulance (even beyond the borders of Europe), to medical escort on board a commercial flight, to dedicated helicopter and air ambulance flights. We consider all the possibilities, and will advise on the safest and most cost-effective options. We aim to give you a quotation within one hour.

If your insurance company is not able to cover the costs of the repatriation service – please talk to us! There are always possibilities, and we will use our knowledge and experience to help you find a solution.

STAGE 2 – PREPARATIONS

Once you have accepted our quotation and we have confirmed receipt of payment, we move to act on your behalf. If it’s appropriate, we can even leave the same day.

We arrange everything, from start to finish, including all paperwork, logistics, transportation and medical support for the trip. We liaise with doctors at both ends, and make sure there is a bed available for the patient on arrival.

Your needs determine the specialisms of the medical team we send. They will bring all the medicine and equipment required with them and will stay in touch with local doctors to track the patient’s medical status. Once our team arrives, they will conduct their own medical examination and work with the local doctors to make sure it is medically safe for the patient to travel. They have years of experience in repatriation, meaning that they are equipped to navigate challenging cross-cultural situations and language barriers.

STAGE 3 – REPATRIATION

Once we are confident the patient is fit for travel, we will begin the trip home. All our medical team are dedicated to keeping the patient comfortable and safe and will stay with them throughout the journey home. We have successfully repatriated hundreds of patients and are equipped and prepared for any eventuality on the journey.

The health and safety of the patient is our first priority. We understand that the repatriation journey does not just affect the patient but is a tense time for their family and friends as well. We will make every effort to keep you informed every step along the way, and you can reach us at any time to ask for an update. When we arrive at the destination hospital, we handle all the paperwork, and won’t leave until we are assured there has been a successful handover and the patient is settled in their new hospital environment.

We will be in contact afterwards to find out how things are and to make sure the patient is doing well following the repatriation.
